Get Togethers: Celebrating the Power of Community
How to summarise a four year, multi-faceted, UK wide programme aiming to change the food system from the ground up by empowering communities through cooking, growing and sharing good food? The best way to do this was to hear directly from the people involved.
Travelling the country we caught up with our local and national partners, the empowered leaders of My Food Community, and saw first-hand the vast network of organisations, individuals and communities that Get Togethers brought together. In the film we capture their thoughts on what Get Togethers has meant for them, and how their involvement in the programme will help them in the future.

A report commissioned by Food for Life Get Togethers, undertaken by Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR), Coventry University.
The research is primarily aimed at understanding how facilitating organisations, such as charities and community organisers or other groups active in community-based food activities can more effectively motivate and enable participation among diverse communities.
If we are all to make a lasting and collective shift to food systems which are good for all people and our planet, sustain cohesive and resilient communities, and enable food citizenship we need to first understand what the landscape looks like and how best to influence it.
